Cafe Sunshine and Salamatea

Writer: Sunshine LocalsSunshine Locals

This is the cafe Sunshine has been waiting for. A social enterprise part funded by the Victorian Government's 'Pick my Project' grant, this place employs asylum seekers and refugees in the hope that the skills they acquire will open up doors for them in the future.

Offering an all day breakfast menu with a Persian twist, this place entices locals with a mix of flavours rarely seen in 3020. The Persian breakfast and Persian omelette with feta are already proving to be a hit and whilst they may look small, they will leave you more than satisfied.

They also have a liquor license and are offering happy hour on Thursdays and Friday between 4-6pm.

Make sure you visit this joint and donate some of your empty jars while you're at it 😁

@kamalini.sabaratnam thank you so much. They're open for dinner now too so we have to give their dinner menu a go too :)

Great recommendation. We loved the food and the staff were great! Just sad we missed out on their grand opening dining experience but they promised more, so we can't wait!
